When I was 17 years old, my mom bought our family a 64 Mustang.  Driving that car to McDonald’s the first time was the only time I felt cool in high school.

Decades later, I’ve joined the Medicare crowd and couldn’t be happier.  Feeling cool is no longer a priority.  I retired from nurse-midwifery in November 2011.  With my interest in creative writing reawakened, I’m trying my hand at blogging.  This blog is exactly what it says it is–my random thoughts, musings, and projects.   My other blogs reflect thoughts on frugality and on writing.  Please click on the drop down menu above to check out those thoughts.

My purpose in sharing my retirement life is to entertain.  If you enjoy my blog, please sign up to follow.  Unfortunately, I haven’t mastered the subtleties of WordPress and you must sign up for each blog separately to be notified of a new post.

What else?  I moved on from Texas three years ago and now live in Ashland Oregon.  I’ve been divorced longer than I can remember, and I live with two feline muses.
